Avanti PS 407: Heavy Duty Document Shredder for Non-Stop Shredding
Some jobs are too big for an ordinary shredder. Record rooms and busy departments often have stacks of documents to get rid of, so the Avanti PS 407 is built for exactly that. Because the feed width is 420 mm, large stacks and wide documents go in without any trimming. It shreds 65 to 70 sheets of 70 gsm A4 paper at a time into 6 mm shreds. The 150-litre waste bin is large as well, so you don’t have to stop and empty it every few minutes.
Body and Cutters
The machine has an all-metal body on a heavy MS 40 mm tubular frame. Because of this frame, it stays sturdy and quiet over the long run, and the whole shredder is designed for minimum noise. The cutters are made of high grade special alloy steel and come with a 5-year warranty. There is also a flap cover at the feed opening.
Motor and Safety Features of the Avanti PS 407
The motor is 2.2 kW and runs on 415 V. Paper feeds through at 7.5 metres per minute, and an online starter switches the machine on and off. If the load gets too heavy, the overload cut-off stops the motor, and then auto reverse backs the paper out. A thermal cut-off also protects the motor from overheating. When you run it in a ventilated place at 60% of its rated capacity, it can work continuously. That is why it suits non-stop shredding.
What the Avanti PS 407 Can Shred
Paper with paper clips and staples goes straight in, so nobody has to pick them out first. CDs and floppies can be shredded as well. If you prefer strip cut, that model is available.
